Roasted Makhana / Bhujal Makhan

  • 100g Makhana

  • 1 spoon ghee (clarified butter)

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • A pinch of black pepper

Method Of Preparation

  1. Heat a large pan/kadhai
  2. Put the makhana in it and roast it for a while
  3. Add ghee slowly while roasting the Makhana
  4. Keep roasting for a while till the Makhanas become crunchy
  5. Sprinkle salt and pepper before switching off the flame

Additional Notes

  • One can use coconut oil, sesame oil or olive oil instead of ghee
  • Keep the flame low for roasting of makhana
  • Makhana bhuja can be eaten in fasting aswell
